LINER NOTES:
Bald Eagle The entire group was tired and we were paddling slowly after a portage. Suddenly Doug shouted, “Hey, there's a bald eagle over there.” The huge bird of prey was perched on the branch of a tree. We all slowly moved toward it without making any noise, watching for any movements. Suddenly it took the biggest turd I have ever seen, which even made the branch lurch, then it flew off into the horizon. Chris Eyres, 12/3/99
