MAY 15, 2014 The search for Daniel Trask enters its third year as members of the family head to Diamond Lake today. The area north of the Lady Evelyn Liftover will be the focus. They believe he was heading north in search of caves he had talked about. Don Trask, Daniel's father and Mike Pawson, family friend, will be based at Todd Chunick's Diamond Lake cabin, which they used in last year's search.
"He graciously allowed us to use the cabin, but we
still haven't met him," wrote Maureen Trask, Daniel's mother, in an
email. The Michigan Backcountry Search and Rescue team (MibSAR) and other family members will arrive next week. Daniel went missing on Diamond Lake in November, 2011. Some clothing was found in spring 2012.

MAY 15, 2014 The summer's pow wow will be held on Bear Island on July 12 and 13.
