DECEMBER 26, 2016 Freeze-up Watch: little change
DECEMBER 22, 2016 Freeze-up Watch: water on Lake Temagami Usual areas that are late holdouts on Lake Temagami are open. Persistent cloud cover for weeks has cut off the satellite view, but Ron Miller has continued flying.
DECEMBER 19, 2016 Freeze-up Watch: big lakes remain Freeze-up is well on its way. All the small- and medium-sized lakes are frozen over, as is Lake Nipissing. Only the big, deep lakes remain with open areas.
DECEMBER 12, 2016 Freeze-up Watch: first ice Bear Island, Boatline Bay and Camp Wabikon, all snow-covered.
