Usual areas that are late holdouts on Lake Temagami are open.
Persistent cloud cover for weeks has cut off the satellite view, but Ron Miller has continued flying.

Freeze-up Watch: big lakes remain
Freeze-up is well on its way. All the small- and medium-sized lakes are frozen over, as is Lake Nipissing. Only the big, deep lakes remain with open areas.
