STRANDED FOR BREAKUP DAY 5 — "As you see the snow has melted off the ice and even at a high of five today, it was cold and windy. The lake is slowly opening around the shore and the water is coming up a few inches a day." "When I was cooking dinner on the BBQ tonight, I saw the quality of light and decided it was time for a few shots. I grabbed my camera and went to the front of the deck, took this shot, then went back to check the BBQ. To my shock there was a large raven perched on the edge of the open grill pecking at my steak. He had already thrown my foil full of potatoes onto the deck. The bugger was too quick and I was too slow to shoot him as he was gone in an instant." — Gerry Gooderham on Ogama Island |
