We are taking our youngest paddler for a week trip in Chiniguchi this August. Something I have never paid attention to: are there any sites with easy water access, sandy or otherwise? I know of McConnell bay and one smallish site at the northern end of McCarthy bay. Anything else? |

Tough assignment finding that. There is one on the southwest corner of Caribou Island and the Old Keewaydin site, but both are too close to McConnell. |

Just remembered that island site on Silvester Lake. |

Thanks again, Brian! These 2 Chiniguchi lake sites are great advice - this way we can avoid McConnell, which is too busy/noisy for my liking. Always wanted to spend a night at Keewaydin site. Silvester island is nice and unusual, but it has almost no tree cover and no protection from elements, which is important for us. |

Northernmost site on Wolf Lake- we used to call it the lagoon, a nice shallow small bay just before the portage. Not sand but gently sloping bedrock as I recall. |
