I love these historical photos from Temagami.
One comment though:
In Brian's description of the photo, he says that the item in the man's left hand is NOT a gun - possibly a piece of survey equipment.
I've studied the photo, and it sure looks like a gun to me...
Am I missing something?

Micmac, I thought it was a gun at first too. Look at the base of it, where it sits on or rests behind the rock. I looked at that and asked myself: if this is the stock of a gun, why does it have flat faces? |

I think it is a gun too. What perplexes me is the stuff flowing out and away from his hand holding the gun/staff ? |
