Hi all, I'm sure I've read up about this on here before but cant seem to recall or find the information so hoping someone can help me. When leaving River Valley via the 805 corridor there's a bridge with a power line on top of it. It has several pairs of shoes suspended from it. Our group has nicknamed this as "shoe bridge". I remember reading the reason why people have thrown their shoes over the wire but can't seem to find that info. "Does anybody know the history behind this? and why it;'s being done? Thanks in advance. |

I only remember a single pair, so I guess it is growing. |

There has been several pairs for quite a few years. A minnow trapper I know told me it has something to do with having completed the upper sturgeon via canoe but haven't been able to confirm this. I'm not looking at littering and leaving my only shoes behind lol i'm simply looking as to what the challenge is in hopes to complete is |

I saw those shoes in 2015, and it was the first time I ever spotted the phenomenon, which I’ve since seen elsewhere... so... just something those damn kids do, cause they ain’t got nothin’ better to do... |
