Just heard that the Ont. government has banned camping on crown land... I don’t know whether the various wilderness parks are open or closed as the information is sketchy and may only apply to parks with amenities that require staffing.
Also at the moment the town of Temagami is telling all non-residents to stay away. So is the TLA, which represents cottagers. Plus, the US border is closed, I would guess until at least June 1st. And no other foreign tourists either...
So, there may not be a lot of competition for campsites this season....
This is shaping up to be a strange year. |

No camping on crown land covers it all , wether it's in a park or not . What the government with all it's experts wants, and is the bottom line , is, don't travel !
Tough pill to swallow for everyone who wants to go north to get away from it all , and I'm one of them. |
