There is a whole forest up in Temagami.
On Crown Land you are permitted to extract wood for heating and cooking purposes. You will be fine gathering wood on the mainland shoreline, stay away from islands as that may be patented land. |

It can be a bit of a chore, especially in late season. But willingness to walk 100ft off of the campsite into the bush will bring rewards . Take deadfall.  |

I hope you're not planning to portage wood. Wow, that would suck worse than foraging.
Odds are you can get some at a grocer or gas station. |
