There is free public parking, a public wharf and a boat launch. Next door is Mowat Landing Cottages (formerly Barr Woods Resort) that has a tiny store. Don't rely on it for anything substantial. They do sell park camping permits.

There is no pay phone. Mowat Cottages has their own business phone only. I understand there are new owners and I can only speak to the experience of the previous owners. Many, many canoeists came in to use the phone, largely for long-distance calls, often to call for their pickups or ferries (in most cases because trips came back early due to bad weather). The owners were never reimbursed so they stopped allowing non-guests to use it.
Some cell phones work at Mowat's.
Otherwise, that's it for facilities. |
