Just got back from the cottage. We did a lot of fishing and did o.k.. Porbably caught a total of 7-8 walleye(always released) but I noticed something this year that I had never seen before. I have been going to temagami for over 30 years. Every one of the walleyes caught looked beat-up. Fins mangled, gashes and lesions on the scales. I was just wondering how many others have noticed this or if it was just me. The only thing different this year is the water level and early ice melt, would that cause this to happen? or is something else going on? I just wish I had brought the camera to post some pics, last time I brought a camera it ended up getting wet and damaged. The wife would not let me take her new one this year! |
