I'm looking for an early Temagami Canoe Co. canoe. The earliest ones would be from the late 1920s or early 1930s (but I'd consider any year). I am having one made by John Kilbridge, the current owner of TCC and I couldn't be happier since his work is outstanding but I'd also like to have a vintage TCC canoe (the Bill Smith days). Is there anyone out there who owns one and could part with it?? Stephan

Stephan We think its from the mid '40s. Its a 14 foot Trapper. In the mid 60's my Mother asked Bill to make a canoe for my Dad for his birthday. Bill refused because " those God@$#%&* boys of yours will get it wet and ruin it". Thats the kind of character Bill was. We don't treat the Trapper with kid gloves and its still going strong. |
