When I was a kid it was bottled in North Bay by Macdonald's Beverages, the local Coke franchisee. Who makes it now?

..and to confirm that..

"Temagami Scotch Cream Soda is a soda that is only available in Northern Ontario , Canada. It is named for an area of wilderness also called Temagami. The cream soda drink is manufactured and packaged by the Fortier products company. The company has a plant located in Cochrane, Ontario. The company purposely limits its distribution to the area immediately surrounding Temagami.

The company makes several other varieties of soda including a ginger ale, root beer , strawberry and orange soda. The Scotch Cream Soda is described as smooth. It has a light taste , with a burst of flavor but no aftertaste. Fans of the drink say it is the best cream soda on the market. All of the surrounding restaurants , inns and hotel sin the area serve the local drink. It is also used as a mixer for alcoholic beverages.

Temagami Scotch Cream Soda is the best selling of the Temagami line of drinks. The company does not have a website , making it virtually impossible to get the drink outside of the regional area. The product can be shipped , but a minimum order is required in order to warrant having the product shipped. A telephone order would be required."

I think what Temagami needs is a microbrewery producing Temagami Ale, Lager and Temagami Red! There's no microbrew in North Bay, which is suprising given the size of the city. South River has a new brewery called Highlander Brew Co. which has taken off nicely in the last year.

It, a microbrewery, was in the works for Dean's old outfitting building.. but not sure if that went South as well with Leger pulling the plug on trying to do his 30 million dollar health centre in Temagami.
