Im sure its old news but the Co-op grocery store in town is closed permanant. So make sure you bring your food or stop somewhere on the way up. The shell was talking about expanding to include some items in the store but that hasnt happened yet, just an FYI, Brad. |

It was, but unfortunately thanks to the Lake Temagami Access road the majority of the Lake T "dwellers" never saw the inside of it and the majority of the town folks did their shopping in Liskeard when picking up their highschool aged kids. It becomes the end, I guess, for me referring to my wife as the bag lady of Temagami... as we have always come empty handed and bought all of our groceries in town. Boat to town dock.. 2 wheel shopping cart to store and then lug it back full (+ bags in hand) to the boat every week. Now we'll have to drive to Liskeard once a week like the rest of the herd, for us from May right through 'till October. The "sign" has been on the wall for years... but most didn't seem to read it. Too many employees.. not enough product and definitely not enough dedicated shoppers. |

heard rumor that the grocery store maybe opening again! Is this true? hope so it is greatly needed by many... |
