Have never fished it, but Darren keeps taking the same guys in year after year so there must be fish there or they wouldn't go back! |

Caught a 12 lb. pike and a 5 lb. Walleye when I canoed through there in 1995. Also a couple bass. |

There are quite a few boats on the shore there. It is very close to the Red Squirrel road. 40 years ago it was a very good pickerel lake! - so I hear |

First fish I caught on Temagami (50 years ago)was on a Dare Devil - red and white color. It was a good size Northern Pike. I still have the lure, but I don't use for sentimental reasons. This inspires me to get a new one for this season. |

Dare Devils are red and white colored spoons. I have also had luck trolling in my canoe with a blue and silver spoon. |

I had forgotten the name, but I do have a few of them. I don't do a lot of fishing but my wife and oldest daughter both accompany me from time to time on remote canoe trips and they like to fish. Here is Melissa with some pickerel. Caught 6 on 6 casts in 15 minutes, kept 3 for lunch. |

Thanks to all who replied. Anybody ever fish here in early spring? Looks like we'll have cooler than normal water temps to deal with.Hope the ice is gone before May long weekend. Might have to have Darren put skis on that beaver lol. |

The ice will be out of Aston long before the long weekend. |
