This might be the single most important aspect of preserving the nastawgan? As long as the National Archives exist, this record will exist. Flagging tape falls down, portages can overgrow, computer systems crash losing gigabites of hard won data, blazed trees fall down, great paddlers die. But the National Archives lives on, for a few centuries at least. So if all paddlers stop coming to Temagami tomorrow, 500 years from now someone will be able to come along, read through Ottertooth, and locate the nastawgan. Will the Archives include the forum as well? Rantings of long dead paddlers preserved for posterity? |

Well isn't that a nice compliment from the National Archives for ottertooth and Brian Back. The canoeing romantics will be remembered. |

Outstanding! Bob nailed the importance of this, beyond the well-deserved recognition for Brian and others (like Ed!). |

Nice comment shutter_speed, but I am just riding on Brians coattails. He is the man who inspires it all. |

He is indeed Ed, but the contributions to the Forum by you and the other knowledgeable enthusiasts also deserve mention I thought. |

I was pretty speechless (hard to believe with me) and proud too, when they told me. I don't know if it includes the forum, but I will ask. I am not so sure I am well-preserved, but I am pickled, er, once in awhile. Without a doubt, this site succeeds because of so many people beyond simply me. For that I and Temagami are grateful. Carry on for Temagami, folks. |

Congratulation, Brian! My mother who is 94 reads everything on Ottertooth. She and her friends think you and Ed a very cute. Now instead of getting stir fried stringbeans and prawn, I'll get hit with a pan. |
