Hello one and all;
My appoligise for intruding on your nice little community here, but I have been racking my brain while combing the internet in search of the answer to my question about a book from my childhood. Stumbling upon this fine website I thought that perhaps the many folks sharing their passion for this beautiful area might just know the name of the book I'm looking for and be willing to help.
The last few years I've had occasion to spend some incredible time at a friends cottage on the lake and it has made me remember a crime-mystery type story from my childhood, but each time I describe it to anyone no one has heard of it, which just further confounds me.
From what I can remember its about a boy visiting his father in Temagami only to find his father to be missing. Alongside from cousins (I think) they stumble across a marijuana grow op. I want to say Timmins plays into the story somehow.
It was more of a young adult novel much like the ones by Gordon Korman and his MacDonald Hall books.
My appologize for being a stranger and still asking this favour, but much thanks to any and all who can help with the title or the author.
