-5 to -6C every night, I imagine it's still pretty stiff. Bell Island's not really an island anyhow you can basically walk onto it with a hike from Strathcona Landing road so you should be able to get there no matter the conditions.. pending how much stuff you want to carry in of course.

Which cottage.. only knew of two for sale.. the one in Suicide Narrows and the one beside the three boat houses. I'm on island 30

Generally ice out is about the first week of May.. or a week or so earlier in the bay from the hwy out to Bell. This year will definitely be earlier but when is the question with all these -C nights.

One way to find out pretty quick.. call Kim at Temagami Marine and see if you could boat out from there. That Bay goes first thanks to the inflow and the narrows rarely freezes at all, even in a good -40 winter.

Okay.. so call Kim for sure and she'll let you know if the bay is opening up. It's one of the first spots that does.. many times Darren puts the Beaver in their and ties to his mother's dock before the ice goes out in the bay at town.

Draw a straight line perpendicular from your dock, in the narrows, thru the park and it will hit my dock. Usually a blue Lund and a green/white airplane there except for last year as our daughter was in a bone cancer fight, so we were sitting in Mount Sinai instead all winter/spring/summer.
