Hi, I am looking for info on water taxis on Lake Temagami. I have searched this site and other Temagami sites and have sent some emails but have had no responses.
Does anyone have some names, phone numbers and reliable email addresses for people offering water taxi services.

alscool, the last i heard, it was $20/km....i think thats what it was. Its in and around 30-40 dollars from the mine landing to Bear Island!! Cuckoo thats my  anyway!

I called both Boatline and Loon Lodge last week asking for their prices. This is what they quoted me as approx. costs. Best to call and get a confimed price if you are going to use them.

Water Taxi Fees = $10 per mile + $10 per Canoe
Obabika Inlet = $150 - 13 miles + 20
Sharp Rock Portage = $210 - 19 miles + 20
Deer Island Narrows = $180 - 16 miles + 20
Can accomodate 4 paddlers and 2 canoes + gear but it depends on gear and weather etc. Call and make reservations.

Prices must have gone up since last year.
for 1 canoe, two peple and gear it was $ 160.00 for last year's fall gathering, eh Alex? (must be the gas!) |

I was just reading this list and I though I would suggest another taxi's name. Dean Potts of Bear Island. I am not sure if he still runs the taxi, as it's been over a year since I have been home, however here is the number 705-237-8955. |
