This is an opportunity to congratulate Hap on receiving the Bill Mason award and thank him for all the years of dedication to the "Canoeing cause" from the humble beginnings with Trudy in the early 80's on the hill above Lakeshore to wide travels with Stephanie and being "home" on the South Channel.
Congratulations again, Hap, and may the canoeing winds be in your favour at all times.
One of your early "customers" when you were the driver!! |

Congratulations to Hap (and Steffie)
Just in case some may not be aware, the Bill Mason Award is awarded for Outstanding Contributions to Canoeing Heritage and River Conservation.
Hap has truly earned his place to stand beside the likes of some previous recipients like Bill Reid, Kirk Wipper, and the Right Honourable Pierre Elliot Trudeau.

Hap, After our many hours a talking or should I say I listened and you told the stories and reading your books, canoeing the Temagami area from your canoe routes books (2) I know how much work you put in in the area and YES you deserve the Award. Congrates, and congrates to the others that helped, Trudy and Stephanie.
