Time to ask the experts.......

a) What emergency number should I leave my significant other if I am on Cassels/Blueberry/Lorraine lake for 5 nights. Is there a local Temagami OPP number?

This is for extreme emergencies only, of course ( ie death in the family)

b) Will cell phones work in that area ( I kind of hope that they don't.....)

Thanks !!!

911 will do... the Major OPP Communications Centre is in North Bay, and they will connect you
there anyway.

Cellphone coverage... I've never had coverage there... at least with my phone.

My cell phone doesn't work on lake Temagami, I was on Furgeson Bay last weekend and had no signal. The Temagami OPP # is 1-888-310-1122 and they have a pretty good marine unit that can be dispatched in minutes if need be. If you are that concerned yoy could rent a sat phone from spectrum group in North Bay. Hope this info is useful.

Thanks for the info! No Sat phone needed (or wanted )...the ones who stay behind just want an emergency number for peace of mind......
