Folks, Not sure if I should post in general or here but am planning a canoe trip into Solace area in early June, and wonder if that will be too late for spring brookies and lakers? Normally target a couple of weeks after ice out but life is in the way. Mike |

The trout are running deeper in mid June. I typically troll with a three ounce weight with about 200 feet of line out and stop paddling every once in awhile for 30 seconds to allow the lure to sink deep. Then start up again. I have had success with this. As for the brookies, they would be the same in the lakes. They should still be in the streams though with the waterflow being high this year. |
