hi folks
Question about the 6 or sites along the river/inlet up to Mattawapika Dam. Just need it for our first night as we will be arriving late at Mowat Landing? Please and thanks. |

Not sure which campsites you are referring to, but I will presume those above the dam Lady Evelyn Lake. I was just there last week and was thinking through this very scenario if I came back late in the day.
I wouldn't stay on the Montreal River. Not even sure that campsite on the Canoe Route map isn't on private land today.
I would recommend either of the first two above the dam. The next two (on the east side) are the nicest and have good swimming (sometimes a challenge to find on the lake).
The next batch around the islands have their drawbacks, so take your pick. |
