Hi All!
We're heading up to do a little Maple Mountain loop in a few days, and wondering about the condition of Hwy 558 to Mowat Landing. We have a car with low-ish clearance.... anyone know whether this will be a problem? Thanks in advance for your wise advice.

The road is good and you should not have a problem from Hwy. 11 to Mowat's Landing.

I echo Bill...
Did the trip last year and the road is paved most of the way. When it does turn dirt, it is "oiled gravel" so quite hard. Be sure to visit the store there to obtain your permits. They also have private parking if you wanted, for a small fee of course. |
