I'm planning a trip to Maple Mountain and a loop around the north and south channel of the Lady Evelyn River next summer. Due to a shortage of time for the trip a boat shuttle into the park would be perfect. Is this possible? If so what would be the approx cost 1 way? Also I assume it would be best to go up the North Channel and down the South? |

A couple of the lodges have provided shuttle service. Not sure if both still do. Michell's Camp: 705-676-2116. They are located at the dam. Mowat Landing Cottages 705-679-8664. I think that number is still correct. |

$150 to Franks? Wow, that's pretty good. I assume it's from the dam. It's 40km from Mowat, a couple days paddle for me and a buddy back in May. |

It's not that far Preacher... In 2007 I left the dam at 1300 and had the tent set and dinner done at the Narrows by 1800, and was at Franks by 1400 the next day, and camped by the Chimneystack at Centre Falls. I dont begrudge the folks whatever they charge though... they've earned every penny they own, IMO. Sundown |

$150 don't go far in a power boat these days! Not sure the distance they're hauling you.. but for reference I burn $120 worth of fuel to run from the Temagami townsite to whitefish Bay, and back, with my 22' Lund. |

Preacher Just thought I should clarify... it is "that far" approx... just doesnt take "that long". It's a very comfortable 7 hours, except that Lady Evelyn can get "bumpy" some days. Sundown |

Do they only shuttle canoes around the dam from the montreal river to Lake Lady Evelyn, or do the also do small boats(15' bowrider with a Johnson 70). Do you need special permits to camp on Lake Lady Evelyn? Any information is greatly appreciated, thank you in advance. |

Family that lives at the dam will haul your power boat on a multi bunk trailer for minimal cost. The lake is not in the "park".. so crown land is crown land to camp free as far as I know.. |
