My husband and I will be canoeing late August in the Wolf Lake area, and need to be able to be reached by our family at home. In the past we have rented satellite phones which seems to be costing us a fortune. Does anyone know if Telus G3 reaches to that area. I am not in favor of pushing technology into the wilderness but at this point in time I need to be able to reach my family at home. |

Here's Telus's coverage map. It says it has coverage at Wolf lake but it doesn't look the best. Please don't take my word for it though, I've never tried. Perhaps call Telus to confirm. http://www.telus.com/en/on/mobility/network/covera ge-map.jsp?INTCMP=NETWORKcoveragemap (Message edited by rachael on July 25, 2014) |

Wolf Lake generally doesn't have cell coverage because of the ring of hills around it. If you need to call out, you might get reception from the top of Wolf Mountain. |
