Hi. We're thinking of one of these two routes within the next weeks. We will be two canoes (everyone between 30-40 years old) and have some experience (4 weeks of canoeing experience). Route 1: http://bayimg.com/dApaNAAFI Route 2: http://bayimg.com/dAPaOaafI A couple of questions: 1) Can we park near Wawiashkashi Lake? 2) We also want to do some fishing. Route 1 seems to have a couple of long days, Route 2 seems too short. 3) How difficult is the Sturgeon in the area that we'll travel on it? Is there a lot of rapids and obstacles in the river now? Thanks, K. |

3) On the Sturgeon you will face one easy portage around Lower Goose falls and couple of short class 1/1+ rapids after that. There's a campsite at Kelly's farm portage, just before the end of your Sturgeon leg, not sure about others. |
