1st time poster and 1st time visitor to this beautiful part of Ontario. Cheers for having all the great info about the area up on this site! It made our first trip into the Temagami bc an epic winter trek.

The plan was to ski in to Spirit Forest, but when we got there Dec 28th, Ferguson Bay was a sheet of ice with no snowcover but still had some open pockets. We opted to bushwhack our way to Peshabo's Pt through Barmac Lk and base camp there. The views of both Napoleon and Ferguson Mt from that point are amazing. With temps close to -30 that night and some fresh pow we ventured in a little deeper and explored the bay, Sharp Rock, Lower Narrows, the hotel site and the pictographs. We'll have to come back and make the originally planned trek later this winter.
