A question about travel down the Sturgeon in low water. I'm planning an early August trip down the Sturgeon this summer, I've heard that water levels are already at summer levels this year (not sure if this is in fact true) and while obviously one can't predict the future, I am concerned about the impact that low water levels could have on this trip. Does anyone have advice on running the Sturgeon in low water? Is it fun or advisable? Should I have a low water back up plan?

Your best reference is the Upper Goose Falls water gauge station on the Sturgeon River.

Today's flow is right on the long term median for this time of year = 40 m3/s. So according to that gauge the Sturgeon is NOT at summer levels.
