Hello Temagami gurus, I'm investigating a potential route for a trip this summer and am wondering about a route that I've seen referred to on the Ottertooth Chiniguchi Middle Tracks web page. http://www.ottertooth.com/Temagami/Sites/chini6.ht m It appears to link Button Lake with the Sturgeon River using Parsons Lake. Has anyone ever been over this route or is it likely to be overgrown Nastawgan. I'd love to know how long the portages are, if there are any campsites between Button and the Sturgeon River and any other obstacles there might be to traveling this route. Thanks. |

What a timely question since I just finished the last map of Chiniguchi, the Northern Tracks, and it details that route. It will be posted shortly. |

I just posted the map. This marks the completion of a full set of up-to-date maps, the first, of Chiniguchi. http://www.ottertooth.com/Temagami/Sites/chini10.htm All maps are linked and there is a Chiniguchi main page at http://www.ottertooth.com/Temagami/Sites/chiniguchi.htm |

jspoke, I was through from Button to Parsons last spring. You will find a campsite at the sw end of Parsons at the trailhead. Our GPS had this lake listed as little lake. Heading through there shortly. |
