Does anyone know why there is a sign at the access to the end of Shinningwood Bay that reads "Illegal Access closed by Temagami First Nation"? I've used this access for years. Saved me paddling the length of the bay from the access point at the end of the road when winds are bad. There is another sign saying the same further down that I believe cottagers used to use to access the bay as well.

This is land that was set aside in 1993 for a First Nation settlement. In frustration, members of the Temagami First Nation put up the signs.
