Would like to know the difficulty of travel upstream on the Sturgeon from Yorston to Pilgrim creek ? Going solo next week and would like to try a clockwise loop from Yorston Bridge up Sturgeon to Pilgrim, up Pilgim and Solace Creek and back. Any advice on canoe to take would be helpful also . River boat for Yorston ? or is this not necessary at this time of year for that river and should I just go with lighter boat for portaging. Also does this sound doable in 7 days?

I would reconsider travelling upstream on the Sturgeon or Yorston this early in the season. There will be a lot of water.
