I am doing a canoe trip with 4 people Aug 13 to 17th. It seems in and around Wolf Lake may be very busy? Is there any access points North of Wolf Lake...maybe Dewdney, Chiniguchi Lake or McConnell Bay? We have a 5hr drive there and want to get on the water that day...will be tough to get passed, or find a campsite between Matagamasi and Wolf Lake.

Cheers

Weekends around Wolf are the worst.

You can drive to the north end of Chiniguchi Lake. You have to follow the Poupore Road to the Chiniguchi Lake Road, but it is not shown on this map.

The last 10 kilometres are very rough. Read the warning on the map.

Thanks Brian...is there such a thing as a map showing the roads you speak of?

There's always Google Earth. It shows the roads, but not their conditions.

I have updated this map to include road access to northern Chiniguchi Lake and Button Lake.
