Surviving 24 months south of the border, paddling in alternatively challenged places like ADK and BWCA, finally! - we are traveling to Chiniguchi as soon as the border opens, i.e. after August 9. It's a family trip, slow pace, around 12-14 days at most. Planning to travel the Sturgeon as well, may be the upper Yorston if we are lucky...
Any news on conditions in this area? Like droughts, fires, water levels out of the ordinary, severe wind storms affecting portages... I see that the Sturgeon currently is at very good level for mid-summer...

Glad to hear it, Eddy.

I also am interested in hearing about conditions in anticipation of going out on trail mid-August.

We are considering the Makobe, so info on water levels on Graymud as well as Makobe River would be especially helpful.
