I will be doing the anima Nipissing loop this summer with a sidetrip to Maple mountain or possibly going to the golden staircase or katherine Lake. Just wondering about strength of current for upstream paddle and points of intrest on the way. Also very interested in pictographs on Diamond and Anima Nipissing, is it possible to get locations? |

You don't have to worry about the current. This is a regular upstream route. The pictographs on Diamond are on the lake's north arm, west side, southwest of the Lady Evelyn Liftover at about shoulder height when sitting in a canoe. The location is marked in Hap Wilson's canoe routes book. |
