My family has been on Thistle Lake (Island Lake) for 42 years, since I was three. It's my spirit place (well all of the Temagami area. We have the Red Cedar to the north and the Temagami River to the southwest. Over the years, many books and people say very little or nothing to positive of Thistle Lake. I guess I should be glad that little attention has fallen to this lake. It's a gem. Here are a few photo.s
