Folks, I'd appreciate any recommendations for a late October Temagami 7-9 day trip (yes, I know it will be cold and water levels are likely to be down). I've considered the following: 1. Sugar Lake area/South Muskego (Turner Lake + Sugar Lake loop) 2. Canton Lakes/Obabika/Diamond 3. Maple Mountain Loop My preference is the 1st. Due to water levels, I would bypass the river. I'm experienced, but I've never tripped in Temagami. |

Actually water levels are up above August levels right now, so if the weather is consistent -- and therefore wet -- water levels will be fine.

Excellent information, Brian. Thanks. With that info, my first choice would be #1. Cheers |

Thanks, all for your help. I ended up going in November. A little snow and ice, but not too bad. Ended up doing the Diamond loop plus the Canton lakes. Amazing trip. |
