We're planning a trip to Ishpatina, starting from the north, at the bridge on the Montreal R. Are there any decent camp sites in the chain of lakes between Smoothwater and Scarecrow? We need room for 4 people (2 tents). |

You should be able to camp on the site at the south end of McCullogh Lake |

Thanks for the reply. One last question: Hap's map has a camp site marked on the east shore of Woods Lk. Anyone know if this site still exists, or what state it is in? |

It is there. Campsites are marked by size on the map: http://www.ottertooth.com/Temagami/Maps/heartland0 3a.htm |

Tthe only marked site between Smoothwater and Scarcrow is on McCullock Lake. However I believe we spotted a firepit on Michell Lake. The McCullock lake site is at the portage trail landing between McCullock and Mihell. No thunderbox was found at this site. |
