The Temagami Area Canoed Waters Planning Map shows many of the campsites on Lake Temagami.
Available from MEC and most outdoor stores.
You might also look at:
http://www.ottertooth.com/Temagami/Wilson/books.ht m
There are other kayak routes described in the book as well.

Lake Temagami has many island cottages and boat traffic that you should be aware of.
Go to:http://www.ottertooth.com/Temagami/Canoeing/solitu de.htm

If you are not looking for complete solitude, it is still a great place to paddle.

Its an easy, fun trip. However, the area between the south end of Temagami Island and Highrock Island can be one of the roughest parts of the Lake.

A lot of the children's camps use this route.

Be sure to climb Highrock and see if you can find the pictographs in Portage Bay.
