Hi folks! I have an old Temagami map which shows two portages from Ferguson Bay into the North Arm of Lake Temagami: an 850 at the NW end of Ferguson Bay and then a 450 half way down Ferguson Bay from an inlet. Is the 850 still in existence? Thanks! |

Sorry folks - that should have been P825 not P850. |

Yes, it is a straightforward portage, a few roots to avoid at the west end. I prefer it as it is a quicker paddle from the put in. the more southernly portage is about 5 km. more paddling and given the prevailing south winds in Lake Temagami, I try to limit my exposure to the big open sections. There is a nice campsite just beyond the 825 on the West side around the north edge of the small bay where it comes out. |

Thanks fireman! I suspected it was still there but just wanted to make sure for the same reasons you cited. I am expecting bad enough winds on Lady Evelyn without starting the day out with them. |
