Hi there... I did a trip for the first time last year with three adults in one big canoe. We did ferguson bay to Diamond, up to Lady E, and back along the same route home. I am now looking doing 5 days starting on the 15th of August. I am tempted to the classic Ferguson, Obabika, Diamond Loop -- but fear it might be too crowded. At this time of year. As an alternate thinking about the Sugar/Angler lakes or Rabbit lake loop of some sort to get off the major flow of traffic. Is that a good alternative? Thanks! M |

There are maps on this site showing crowded areas, I forget exactly where. I'm not certain your alternative is going to be any less populated. |

you could try rabbit-matabitchuan-fourbass-maxxam-rabbit... we did this last year and its a nice route and not crowded. can't speak to water levels on the matabitchuan though- it is a small river. |
