anyone been to Smith Lake or LuLu Lake off of Smoothwater recently? know if the lakes are accessable by creek? Are they lakes worth seeing? thanks... |

I have been there. I went by bike on an old logging road. They are not accessible by canoe from existing canoe routes, unless you like bushwhacking long remote stretches of bush. |

went across smith years ago drove down logging road that came to swamp paddled up this creek (swamp)picked up trail(portage at far end)cant recall how far the portage was but not short lake was fished hard then |

Good point, manson. Like all lakes that get ATV access via logging roads or illegal logging skid paths -- maybe I should say homemade roads -- the fisheries get smacked. |
