Been a couple of years since I have been to Temagami. I am planning a solo trip for next week, and am looking for some sugestions. I have done the Canton Lakes, Hap's 6, 8 and 12. I prefer routes with solitude, and do not do white water(other than small swifts). I have long wanted to do South and North channel, but after reading many of the posts here, I am thinking for safety reasons, this may not be the best idea for a solo trip. Any suggestions? Thanks, Dave

Hi Dave , My son and I just returned today from a trip to Sugar Lake , Angler and Goodfish . Launched at Mowat Landing , lots of boat traffic paddling in , but once into the Sugar Lake loop , nobody . Route 21 .Great fishing and campsites . Very rocky portage of 1570 getting to Sugar but worth it . Have fun . |

Thanks tiggo, thats a good suggestion. Actaully, I am thinking of doing: -Sandy Inlet -Sharp Rock-Diamond -Lady Ev. -Walsh-Lynx -Turner -Eagle -Little Eagle -Anima Nipp. -Red Squirrel -Sandy Inlet Any comments on this for 7 days? Well really 6 days, since I would like a 1 day layover to explore, possibly on Eagle. Any advice on portages, and campsites is appreciated. Thanks, Dave |
