Hello All. I am curious if anyone has done this route in late august. How busy should I expect the waters to be? If I see more than 4-5 other canoe groups then I'd rather go in Sept. Thanks ahead of time John |

That is about the most popular and busiest route in the area in July and August. If the weather is good in early September, it will also be busy.Early May, before the fishing season will be better. The last 1/2 of September will probably yield at least 4 or 5 other groups on that route. If you want solitude that is not the route. |

You will often see more than that in one day in July and August. Some of the links from this page may be helpful: http://www.ottertooth.com/Temagami/Canoeing/solitu de.htm

Do you expect that campsite availability could be an issue around this time? Once and awhile having to paddle extra to find a campsite is ok but if its a mad-dash each day.....thats no fun. thanks again John |

Along the routes shown on the Beaten Path map, there could be days when you have trouble finding an open campsite from 4:00 on. |
