What's the story behind the 1946 plane wreck on Yorston Lake? Is this a WWII plane? Is it visible from the surface?

It was a Waco bush plane that made a forced landing and burned. Metal parts are still visible in shallow water on the west side of the island between the island and the nearby mainland point.
