Anyone go up Ishpatina last season? I had a look at the old thread from 2004 and it seems that some were less than impressed with the trail maintenence and the view from the top. No point portaging down from Smoothwater if not worth the vist - I am getting old.

I did. The trail from Scarecrow Lake wasn't too bad in my opinion. Only a couple of downed trees to hike around.

I think the Ishpatina trail was cleared out by OP within the past 2-3 years.
