We will be taking a 7 days trip to Temagami in the last week of July. We plan to do a combination of Hap's Route #9 (Turner lake loop) and #15(Sugar lake and Muskego river). Has anyone been to these areas recently? Any information and comments on the area, portages, campsites, etc. would be greatly appreciated! We have not planned our exact route and the access point yet and are open to any suggestions. |

The Muskego River isn't a river, but a creek. From what I've heard, spring is the only time it is navigable. July is too late, unless this is an extremely wet summer. http://www.ottertooth.com/Temagami/Maps/muskego-so uth.htm

Thanks Brian, It is what I expected (even though according to the Hap's book, due to beavers activities, it was suppose to have enough water all summer). I am curious if anyone have been there recently. |

SVB, Did you do your planned trip? I will be heading off in a couple of weeks to do a trip incorporating the Sugar Lake Link and the Muskego River and I was wondering if you got out that way? Any info on conditions and water levels? It would be great to hear from you. Chris |
