Hi there. Planning to head back to Temagami this summer in early August. We will be a party of three. I heard a friend did a fly-in trip and followed the sturgeon river and paddled out through lake Temagami. I am not sure what route he took. But I wanted to know what lake you fly in to -- and what is the best route that doesnt involve more than Class I rapids. And how long does this trip take? Thanks (Message edited by mikearmitage on May 7, 2011) |

Depends on where you start. But the route would have taken the Obabika River upstream from the Sturgeon, then to Temagami via Obabika Lake. |

there is also the route from the sturgeon to temagami via manitou, wawiashkashi and gull lakes- nice but built up in spots (lodges, cottages). |
