So I have given up on the Smoothwater-Ishpatina idea and am now thinking of a simpler trip from the hub through Obabika to Wawigama. Any good campsites there? Blitz |

We paddled through Lake Wawiagama in July 2010. The campsite of "choice" is the large one on the southwest end. It has a good take-out and some great flat rocks for swimming off. Unfortunately a large canoe camp brigade beat us to it. However we found a great site at the south east end of the lake, high up above the water. Take-out wasn't terrific (steep and rocky), but views of the setting sun were stunning. The obvious tent spot in the "saddle" area back from the point is not big, but we put a second tent further back up in the woods on the cliff.
