It is my first time going to western side of Temagami and I have some questions about Solace Prov. Park.
Where do we pick up our park permits? We will be driving from Sudbury.
How is the fishing Solace and area?
What are the conditions of the Sturgeon River to Paul Lake?
Also do you think campsites will be hard to get in the middle of August?

a lot of your questions are addressed a couple threads up (solo trip). likewise permits are discussed in a recent thread.
should be easy to find campsites, most of the aficionados of this route get it out of their systems earlier in the season when the sturgeon is high, but with a bit of judicious tracking it remains very navigable even in low water.
